Jedicut English Language File – Free Download
If you’ve selected English in Jedicut but still see French text, you’re probably looking at the same thing I noticed in the Cycle of Cut Manager. Some parts of the window were in English, while others still showed labels such as “Ma découpe”, “Par défaut” and “Raccourci”.
I’ve put together an updated Jedicut English language file to fill in some missing translations and make the wording clearer. You can download it below as a free ZIP file.
What does the updated file change?
The changes mainly cover the Cut Cycle Manager, including these labels:
| Original text | Updated English text |
|---|---|
| Ma découpe | My cut |
| Par défaut | Default |
| Raccourci | Shortcut |
| Extrado | Upper surface |
| Intrado | Lower surface |
| RAZ Counter | Reset counter |
“Upper surface” and “Lower surface” make the cutting sequence easier to follow when you’re working with a wing profile. “Reset counter” also gives a clearer explanation than the partly translated “RAZ Counter”.
This is an unofficial update to the language file. It changes interface wording; it doesn’t add cutting features or change your machine settings.
Download the Jedicut English language file
The ZIP contains the updated English.xml file.
How to install it
- Close Jedicut before replacing the file.
- Extract the downloaded ZIP.
- Open your Jedicut language folder. On my installation, it’s
C:Program Files (x86)JedicutLang. - Make a backup of the existing
English.xmlsomewhere safe. - Copy the downloaded
English.xmlinto theLangfolder, replacing the existing file. Windows may ask for administrator permission. - Open Jedicut with English selected and check the Cut Cycle Manager.
If Jedicut is installed somewhere else, look for the Lang folder inside its installation folder.
Still seeing French text?
This update addresses the entries identified in my copy of Jedicut. It may not catch every French label, particularly if you’re using a different version.
If anything doesn’t display correctly, close Jedicut and restore your original English.xml from the backup. If you spot another untranslated label, leave a comment with the wording and where it appears so I can look into it.
